Stride Music - Offline Player ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information Collection and Use

Stride Music is primarily a local music player. Most of your data remains on your device and is not collected by us.

a. Personal Data

We do not require you to create an account to use the basic features of Stride Music. We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number unless you explicitly provide it (e.g., through support emails).

b. Local Data

The App accesses your device's storage to list and play audio files. We do not upload your music files to our servers. Playlists, favorites, and settings are stored locally on your device using a secure database (Room) and preferences (DataStore).

c. Third-Party Services

To provide advanced features, the App integrates with the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob: Used for app monetization. Google may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID), IP addresses, and interaction data to provide personalized advertising and analytics. Google Privacy Policy
Unity Ads: Used for app monetization. Unity may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and information about your interaction with ads to provide personalized advertising. Unity Privacy Policy
Google Drive: The App can stream music from public Google Drive folders. We do not access your private files or store your Google account credentials. Google Privacy Policy
iTunes & Deezer: Used to fetch track metadata (album names, genres) and album artwork. The App sends track titles and artist names to these services to retrieve matches.

LRCLIB: Used to fetch lyrics. The App sends track metadata to fetch lyrics text. No personal data is shared.

2. Permissions

To function correctly, Stride Music requires the following permissions:

READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To access and play your music files.
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To fetch lyrics, album art, stream from Google Drive, and show advertisements.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show playback controls in the notification area.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE: To maintain playback when the App is in the background.

3. Security

We value your trust in providing us your information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.

4. Children’s Privacy

Stride Music does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

5. Data Retention

We retain local data (such as your playlists and favorites) as long as the App is installed on your device. Since we do not transmit or store this data on our servers, it remains under your control at all times. Third-party services like Google AdMob and Unity Ads retain data according to their own privacy policies.

6. Data Deletion and Your Rights

Google Play requires us to provide users with a way to request the deletion of their data.

Local Data Deletion: You can delete all locally stored data immediately by uninstalling the App or by using the "Clear Data" option in your device's application settings.
Web-Based Deletion Requests: If you wish to request deletion of any data that might have been processed, you can send an email to tehnomaster.studio@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days and coordinate with third-party providers where possible.
Advertising Identifiers: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time via your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
